Tutorial on Rockband for Xbox 360 setup

Hi there welcome to this tutorial on how to setup a the rock band. The as you can see the Rockband is a pretty big set. So some requirements are needed. A nice clean open area, a comfortable seat to sit on while playing the drums and a open area so the front of the Xbox can be accessed easily. Now as you may or may not notice the are a lot of wires and a and cable but the xbox only has three. Now if you have don’t have the three microphone then you can now jump the step 1. If you look deep into the box you will see a USB hub this your extender to the Three microphones.

Step 1.

Open and layout all contents of the Rockband box attact the components together use the give manuals for guidance. Now power one the Xbox 360 but don’t connect a controller.

Once complete you will see two adapters the adapt to a USB now at the end on the cord form the Drums and guitar there is a plug connect the USB adapters the ends of these cords ( They only go in one way ). Now attach the USB to the two front ports located at the front of the Xbox 360 behind a flap. Now you will see the drums and guitar automatically connect and become Player 1 and 2.

Step 2 .

Connect a Microsoft 360 controller and plug the USB extender into the back only if you are using 3 microphones and if you have a wireless adapter don’t worry unplug one of the front instruments and plug the extender into the front and connect the microphone and whatever instrument you rook out in to the extender. (warning the microphone cable is long so make sure it is out of the way as you can trip over it or knock the Xbox if it’s on a shelf).

Step 3.

Now that each instrument is fitted and working load up the rock band or Rockband series game and sync each instrument you should get an achievement for completing this process.

Known problems.

The drums you can buy silencers and you are given some with the sticks but these are useful but they still make a thud ever time you hit one so to be on the safe side makes sure neighbours and family member are either out or playing on it as well as the drums are annoying and that is an awkward conversation with the neighbour.

Another is cables the band sent cables for the microphone are really long and the guitar and drums it Is short this is a hazard as like me you might have your Xbox on shelf or TV stand and the Xbox falling may not seem so bad but once its fell problems occur but don’t worry if it gets laser burned and your under warranty Microsoft will replace the game and the Xbox.

Only play for at least 20minutes at a time as playing for a length of time can cause RSI (repetitive strain injury) if you play at the higher levels such as Expert or Hard a break between each song is recommended as it allows your hands to rest it really hurts and take it from me because its the middle finger but take a break and your fine. As well the drum foot pedal be sure to do the tutorial first as you can cause harm to your foot if you are doing it wrong.
